Puget Sound Regional Council

The Puget Sound Regional Council serves both the public and private sectors in the central Puget Sound region, creating and implementing growth and transportation policies, developing and disseminating information, and providing a forum for collaborative decision making.

In carrying out our responsibilities, we will . . .

  1. Maintain a standard of excellence for all products and services.
  2. Manage resources efficiently and effectively.
  3. Encourage practical, environmentally sustainable work practices throughout the agency.
  4. Be responsive, accessible and accountable to our constituents, and encourage their involvement and ownership in the agency.
  5. Use a positive team approach that extends from within the agency to the community.
  6. Emphasize integrity, professionalism and respect as we conduct our business and interact with one another.
  7. Respect diversity, acknowledging that we all have differences and similarities, strengths and weaknesses, and gifts and attributes that make us unique, and that all of us, individually and collectively, are important partners in this agency’s success.
  8. Foster an open, communicative and congenial atmosphere that promotes creativity, flexibility, risk taking and innovation.
  9. Encourage excellence in job performance through recognition, opportunities for growth, and employee participation in decision making.
