PSRC Releases Draft Regional Freight Strategy
For the first time, PSRC has developed a comprehensive, multimodal Regional Freight Strategy that will serve as the freight component of the region’s next long range transportation plan, Transportation 2040. The draft Regional Freight Strategy takes a look at all of the main freight modes, including rail, truck, air, and marine cargo, and examines the current and future issues as the region looks to planning for a sustainable transportation system out to 2040. The draft Regional Freight Strategy has been developed through coordination with member agencies and other regional freight stakeholders, and is available for public comment as Appendix J of Transportation 2040. Your comments are welcome. Comments received by March 9 will be presented at the Transportation Policy Board meeting of March 11, 2010. Download the document.
