Chris Strow Named Principal Economic Policy Analyst
at the Puget Sound Regional Council

SEATTLE—  Chris Strow has been named Principal Economic Policy Analyst at the Puget Sound Regional Council. Strow has served two terms as the Washington State Representative for the 10th District. In the Legislature, Strow has served as assistant Republican Floor Leader and on the Capital Budget, Agriculture & Natural Resources, and Insurance, Financial Services & Consumer Protection committees.

"By adding Chris to our great team, the Prosperity Partnership will be able to implement key strategies to grow jobs and secure long term prosperity in the Puget Sound region."

Prior to joining the Legislature, Strow served as Vice-President of Government and Public Affairs for a national transportation trade association. Strow has served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communication Director to Congressman Denny Rehberg of Montana and as Deputy Chief of Staff to Congressman Jack Metcalf of Washington. Strow also served as Legislative Political Director for the Republican National Committee.

He earned his Bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia and attended Georgetown University's Institute for Comparative Political and Economic Systems while interning for then Congressman John Miller of Edmonds.

PSRC is the organizational home of the Prosperity Partnership, a coalition of over 250 government, business, labor and community organizations from King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties dedicated to developing and implementing a common economic strategy. The Partnership's shared goal is two-fold: long-term economic prosperity and 100,000 new jobs for the central Puget Sound region.

PSRC also develops policies and coordinates decisions about regional growth and transportation planning in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties. The Council is composed of over 80 county, city, port, transit, tribal and state agencies serving the region. It coordinates the distribution of about $160 million in Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration funds each year. PSRC sets priorities and evaluates the most efficient ways to target those funds to support state and local transportation, economic and growth management plans.
