Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee
The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee coordinates with and advises Regional Council staff, policy boards, and other advisory committees on a variety of bicycle and pedestrian-related planning issues. The committee meets quarterly. Representatives from member jurisdictions, bicycle and pedestrian interest groups, and citizens from the central Puget Sound region are welcome to attend. The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee provides input on the following topics:

  • Best practices for developing bicycle and pedestrian-friendly communities
  • Design guidelines for regional growth centers and transit station areas
  • Plan implementation and performance monitoring
  • Methodologies for measuring bicycle and pedestrian demand
  • Outreach and education on the value and benefits of non-motorized transportation
  • Transportation Improvement Program project selection policy framework
  • Enhancements Program project selection policy framework
  • Comprehensive plan certification and review process

The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Puget Sound Regional Council's 5th floor Conference Room. Depending on the business at hand, the committee may meet less frequently. At a minimum, the committee meets quarterly.
