Boards and Committees

Puget Sound Regional Council members work together to tackle regional growth management, economic, and transportation issues in the four-county central Puget Sound region.

The Regional Council is governed by a General Assembly and Executive Board. The Operations Committee, Growth Management Policy Board and Transportation Policy Board advise the Executive Board.

The Economic Development District is the federally designated economic development district for the central Puget Sound region and receives federal funding for carrying out regional economic planning.

    Past Presidents, Vice Presidents and Committee Chairs

    Countywide Planning Organizations provide recommendations to the Council on funding for transportation projects and other issues. The countywides are: Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council, Pierce County Regional Council, Snohomish County Tomorrow, and King County Growth Management Planning Council. Additionally, there are three subregional groups in King County -- the Eastside Transportation Partnership, the South County Area Transportation Board, and the SeaShore Transportation Forum.
