- The wages definition includes pay for vacation and other paid leave, bonuses, stock options, tips, the cash value of meals, and lodging and contributions to deferred compensation accounts (e.g. 401(k) plans). Covered employer contribution for old-age, survivors, and disability insurance (OASDI, heath insurance, unemployment insurance workers’ compensation, and private pension and welfare funds are not reported as wages.
- What’s the difference between current dollars and constant dollars?
- The average annual wage data is in current dollars. Current dollars is an amount of money in the year the money was reported. Constant dollar is an amount of money adjusted for inflation based on a price index.
