Growing the energy efficiency industry

The Building Efficiency Testing and Integration (BETI) Center and Demonstration Network will be a place for innovators in the energy-efficiency field to test their products, designs and services prior to launching them into the marketplace, and learn about their integration with the other aspects of the built environment.

BETI is aimed at growing the energy efficiency industry in the central Puget Sound region. By creating an atmosphere in which all companies have a better chance to grow their customer base and market penetration, BETI will help create jobs and import wealth into the region.

Developed by a steering committee of more than 40 industry experts and community stakeholders, this proposal was completed in December 2010, and is currently in the implementation phase.
