The Growth Management Act (GMA) emphasizes intergovernmental coordination and consistency. The PSRC Policy and Plan Review Process is designed to further regional coordination and to satisfy requirements in the GMA to certify countywide planning policies and the transportation-related provisions in local comprehensive plans.

Certification is a requirement for jurisdictions and agencies that intend to apply for PSRC funding.

Planning Requirements and Guidance

A set of materials, compiled in a Plan Review Manual, provides both general and detailed guidance for the development of amendments and updates to countywide planning policies, local comprehensive plans, regional growth center subarea plans, and transit plans.

Certification Status

PSRC maintains a report of the certification status of each jurisdiction.
