The Executive Board adopted an updated Public Participation Plan to guide PSRC's fundamental public involvement activities.

PSRC's adopted Public Participation Plan is designed to outline the minimum requirements for public involvement in order to meet federal, state and PSRC bylaw guidelines, with the understanding that the agency will make additional efforts as appropriate and specific plans will be developed for key decision making processes, such as the VISION 2020, Destination 2030, and Regional Economic Strategy updates. Updates to the plan included new federal requirements such as visualization techniques and desired outcomes, as well as some additions and organization changes made based on public comment. The new plan is online at psrc.org.

The Executive Board discussed the 2006 Puget Sound Household Travel Survey results and analysis.

PSRC partnered with the Washington State Department of Transportation to collect region-wide daily activity and travel information from more than 4,700 households. The data collected will be used extensively in the recalibration of PSRC's existing travel demand models, support research into future model improvements and to help develop strategies for future transportation improvements in the region.
