Puget Sound Regional Council

The report, published in 2006, forecasts regional air cargo demand, identifies capacity needs, evaluates options for meeting future needs, and outlines a regional strategy. The strategy is intended to guide airport sponsor and air cargo industry investments at the region’s airports and to coordinate investments in the regional intermodal transportation system to better meet the region’s air cargo needs.

Major contributors to the work effort included staff from the Port of Seattle, King County International Airport/Boeing Field, Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field, major air cargo and passenger airlines, numerous air cargo businesses, and city and county staff.

This report was funded in part by a Federal Aviation Administration grant.
