Comment on Transportation 2040
For the past 2-1/2 years, PSRC has been preparing Transportation 2040, an action plan to meet the central Puget Sound region’s transportation needs for the next 30 years. The new plan builds on the Regional Growth Strategy in VISION 2040, adopted in 2008, and the Regional Economic Strategy, adopted in 2005.
Transportation 2040 will be adopted by the PSRC General Assembly in May 2010. But we’re not quite there yet. We’d like your input on the Draft Plan. All comments are welcome — we’re especially interested in your views on the following aspects of the Draft Plan:
- Addressing Congestion and Mobility
- Protecting the Environment
- A Sustainable Funding Plan
- Preserving the Existing Transportation System
- Enhancing Safety and Security
- Investing in a Balanced Mix of Investments
- Addressing Equity and Special Needs
- Supporting the Economy and Regional Growth Strategy
- Supporting health and livable communities
