VISION 2050 includes policies and actions throughout the plan to advance a more equitable region. As part of the Regional Equity Strategy, PSRC staff have been working with the Equity Advisory Committee to develop resources to center equity in planning. At the webinar, presenters will provide training on using PSRC’s recently completed Racial Equity Impact Assessment (REIA) tool.
Racial equity assessments are designed to integrate explicit consideration of racial equity in decisions, including policies, practices, programs, and budgets. This webinar will be an opportunity for local partners to become more familiar with the REIA and how it can be used to help incorporate equity throughout the development and implementation of their comprehensive plan updates. Presenters will provide guidance and lead discussions on how racial equity can be advanced through inclusive community engagement, demographic data analysis and strategies for reducing or mitigating disparities.
