Session 1: An Update on the Economic Census
This session will provide an update on the data being released from the 2017 Economic Census (EC).  The update will focus on the local area data currently being released for the Pacific Northwest, Washington, and the Puget Sound region, but it will also provide a preview of the North American Product Classification System (NAPCS) and business size data coming this fall.  These data are all being released on the Census Bureau's new data.census.gov platform, so this session will also provide some key tips (and a live demo) to help make accessing these EC data (and our other Census business data) easier.

Session 2: New Census Business Programs and Data Resources
With all the challenges businesses (and our economy) face today, reliable data that can help guide decision making is even more important then ever before.  This session will provide an overview of some brand new business programs at the Census Bureau.  This includes the new weekly Business Formation Statistics program that provides key information on start-ups, as well as the new Small Business Pulse Survey that hopes to provide critical data on the impact of COVID-19 on business.  Finally, the session will also provide an update on the new Annual Business Survey, which replaces the Survey of Business Owners and Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs.

Session 3: What's New in Key Census Bureau Data Tools
This session will provide an update on the updates recently made to some key Census data tools and what's coming soon.  The January 3.0 release of Census Business Builder will be focused on, including the new data and functionality added, as will the plans for the August 2020 3.1 release.  The Bureau's new Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) Explorer tool will also be covered, including a demo of this new tool and updates on what's coming soon.  Finally, a recap of the latest updates to the new data.census.gov platform will be discussed, including features that improve access to Census business data.
