Equity Tracker

Get the Facts About Racial Equity

Racial and ethnic disparities in key quality of life indicators have persisted in the central Puget Sound region, with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color faring worse compared to White individuals. Robust data and information are essential to developing strategies to build an equitable region.

An introduction to PSRC’s Equity Tracker

The Equity Tracker uses reliable and regularly updated data to identify disparities between people in different communities. It tracks performance in addressing inequities, holds PSRC and its partners accountable in advancing racial equity, and supports future policies and actions.

Indicators in the Equity Tracker are organized by themes that correspond to key policy areas in VISION 2050.

Demographic Profile

PSRC’s demographic profile (PDF) identifies geographic areas and populations of people by race and ethnicity, income, age, disabilities, access to a car, and language spoken at home. It serves as a baseline for PSRC’s planning processes, which include the examination of policy impacts on communities of color. Learn more on the Environmental Justice webpage
