There are numerous federal and state funding programs available for transportation investments, for example through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (also referred to as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act or IIJA) which provides funding through 2026. Other federal legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022 also provides opportunities for various types of investments. In addition, numerous state funding programs are available, for example through the Climate Commitment Act and Move Ahead Washington, among others.

WSDOT Consolidated Grant Program – PSRC provides regional rankings for transportation projects in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties seeking funds from the WSDOT Consolidated Grant Program. This program provides funds from federal and state sources, and it supports specialized transportation for older adults, people with disabilities, and other people with accessibility and mobility needs.
