The Economic Development District Board is updating the Regional Economic Strategy.

engage adThe Regional Economic Strategy is a strategic blueprint for regional collaboration to address ways for the region to sustain and grow economic prosperity. The strategy identifies ways to expand economic opportunity, to maintain global competitiveness, and to sustain the region’s high quality of life.

Each of these goals is supported by specific strategies and initiatives to sustain and grow jobs throughout the region, for all residents. Many partners help to implement the strategy, including the region’s Economic Development District Board.

The Regional Economic Strategy serves as the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) per guidelines of the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

The current Regional Economic Strategy was adopted by the Economic Development District Board in September 2017. The new strategy is expected to be adopted in late 2021.
