The region's population is aging and the need for specialized transportation services is growing.
The Coordinated Mobility Plan (Coordinated Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan) describes how transit agencies, human service agencies, school districts, and other transportation providers can work together to improve regional mobility for people with mobility and accessibility needs throughout King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. The plan provides a four-year implementation plan for transit and specialized transportation networks described in the Regional Transportation Plan. The current plan was adopted by PSRC’s General Assembly on May 26, 2022.
People with special transportation needs are defined in state law as people, including their attendants, who because of physical or mental disability, income status, or age, are unable to transport themselves or purchase transportation (RCW 81.66.010).
Updated every four years, the Coordinated Mobility Plan is the region’s blueprint for planning, funding, and coordinating prioritized strategies that serve people with mobility challenges.
