A shapefile containing the U.S. Census Bureau's year 2000 blockgroup boundaries for the central Puget Sound region.
The data was created for a variety of planning and analysis purposes. It provides users with information derived from the basic questions asked on all census qestionnaires at the block group level.
A geographic block group (BG) is a cluster of blocks having the same first digit of their three-digit identifying numbers within a census tract or block numbering area (BNA).
