Carnation joins PSRC

Every city in King County now a member

The Puget Sound Regional Council welcomes the City of Carnation as its newest member.

Carnation is a rural community of 2,220 residents, located at the confluence of the Tolt and Snoqualmie rivers, and surrounded by one of the most productive agricultural regions in the Northwest.

There are almost 1600 acres of market crops grown in the Snoqualmie Valley Agricultural Production District.

Carnation recently received $450,000 in PSRC Funding through the Rural Town Centers and Corridors Program to improve safety in its Town Center on Tolt Avenue.

Construction is anticipated to start early this year and be complete in February 2021.

The Carnation City Council approved the PSRC’s Interlocal Agreement late last year.
