Cascade Water Alliance

New Associate Member

The Puget Sound Regional Council welcomes the Cascade Water Alliance as a new Associate Member.

The Cascade Water Alliance was formed in 1999 to ensure water supply for the future.

Cascade’s mission is to provide water supply to meet current and future needs of its members in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner through partnerships, water efficiency programs, acquiring, constructing and managing water supply infrastructure and fostering regional water planning.

Its current membership includes the cities of Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, and Tukwila, and the water and sewer districts of the Sammamish Plateau and Skyway.

Collectively, the membership of Cascade serves over 350,000 residents and 20,000 businesses.

The Cascade Water Alliance has owned the former Puget Sound Energy White River – Lake Tapps Reservoir since 2009. Cascade seeks to balance the interests of recreation and water supply, along with the restoration of the White River fishery through routine water quality testing and cooperative agreements.
