Commercial Aviation Coordinating Commission

Briefing at upcoming Executive Board

The Commercial Aviation Coordinating Commission will brief the Executive Board on its charge from the Legislature to identify a location for a new primary commercial aviation facility in Washington State.

The Commission will conduct a broad review of potential aviation facility sites, review existing data, and conduct research as necessary. A shortlist of six sites must be recommended by January 1, 2021, and a single preferred location for a new commercial aviation facility must be identified by January 1, 2022.

The board will also act on a recommendation to change the Regional Transportation Plan status of the SR 509 Extension Phase 1 from candidate to approved and conduct the Executive Director’s annual performance evaluation in Executive Session.
