Everett to break ground on Grand Avenue Park Bridge

$2 million in PSRC funding to project

Everett is kicking off the Grand Avenue Park Bridge project with a groundbreaking ceremony on October 10.

The new bridge will carry drainage and sewer pipelines across a steep slope, the railroad tracks and West Marine View Drive.

It will also provide pedestrian access from Grand Avenue Park to the waterfront.

“We know the community is looking forward to a new way to access the waterfront from the bluff,” said Mayor Ray Stephanson.

Construction on the park side of the project is set to begin in the second week of October. Construction on the Port side is already underway, with work being done to set the footings for the bridge and elevator shaft.

The ceremony will be on Tuesday, October 10, 10-11 a.m., on Grand Avenue on the north end of the park. You can find more details on the event here.
