Leverage the green economy

EDD board to discuss sector analysis

A recent analysis of four key economic sectors in Washington state will be the subject of a robust discussion on leveraging the green economy at the December 5 meeting of the Economic Development District Board. Better understanding of the energy, water, agriculture and building materials sectors will give the region a sense of its strengths, weaknesses and where to focus.

The analysis was funded by the Association of Washington Cities Center for Quality Communities, who is leading a project to develop an Eco-nomic Center in Washington. The goal is to bring key public, private and academic institutions together as an advisory group to focus on this work.

This meeting will also feature an interactive opportunity for the board to set priorities and topics for 2019.
