PSRC seeking public comment

on Intercity Transit and King County Metro projects

Intercity Transit and King County Metro are recommended to receive a total of $13,149,382 in PSRC funds as a result of the annual adjustment of Federal Transit Administration funds, which are awarded to the region's transit agencies based on services provided to the region.

Intercity Transit would receive $2,175,183 to replace the agency's commuter bus vehicle fleet. Intercity Transit primarily serves Thurston County, but can receive some funding through PSRC for the commuter bus services it provides to the region.

King County Metro would receive $10,974,199 for the replacement of bus lifts at the agency's Atlantic Central Base facility.

The Puget Sound Regional Council is encouraging people to comment on these two projects, which are new to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program.

The public comment period will run from July 3 - 25, 2019. PSRC's Executive Board is scheduled to approve these projects on July 25.
