King County Metro's trolley program and Intercity Transit's facility

King County Metro Trolley Bus
People are encouraged to comment on two projects new to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program.
King County Metro would receive $3,802,343 in PSRC funds for preservation and maintenance of the agency's trolley system.
Intercity Transit would receive $2,603,722 in PSRC funds to expand and refurbish the agency's current maintenance and operations facility.
The funding is available due to the annual adjustment of Federal Transit Administration funds, which are awarded to the region's transit agencies based on services provided to the region.
Intercity Transit primarily serves Thurston county, but receives funding because the agency provides commuter services to the Puget Sound region, making it eligible for this funding.
The public comment period will run from September 7 - 28, 2017. PSRC's Executive Board is scheduled to approve these projects on September 28.
