The table shows the distribution of the $901 million in transit funding coming to the region via the America Rescue Plan Act. This includes ARPA funding previously approved in July by the Executive Board for transit agencies serving the Bremerton and Marysville urbanized areas.

PSRC worked with leaders from the region’s nine transit agencies to develop the funding recommendation after discussion of the unique situation and needs due to the pandemic. The board also discussed the need to work at the state level to ensure communities have equitable transit funding.

Under federal legislation, PSRC has project selection authority for all projects using regional funds from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Since 2020, three stimulus funding packages have been passed, with FTA funds made available to support transit agencies during the public health emergency.
