Reminder! Final week to help shape the Regional Economic Strategy

EDD Board will review input in October

PSRC is updating the Regional Economic Strategy to provide a blueprint for regional collaboration to sustain and grow economic prosperity for all and help the region respond to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in ways that promote equity.

Over the summer, we’ve invited people to learn about the region’s economic challenges and opportunities and offer feedback through a new online engagement website. This early feedback period will close on September 15.

The engagement website is organized around three key goals:

Each topic includes an overview, challenges and opportunities, and a strategic response as well as an opportunity to give input. We encourage you to dig in to the topics you’re most interested in and let us know your ideas.

Participants can also take a quick survey on what would be most helpful on a personal level.

The goal of the outreach effort is to better understand the challenges and opportunities identified in the strategy, learn more about existing efforts to improve the regional economy, and solicit ideas for increased regional coordination.

The Economic Development District Board will review the feedback received during the summer outreach period at its October meeting and direct staff to prepare the draft Regional Economic Strategy for public comment.

The new strategy is expected to be adopted in late 2021.  Visit the Regional Economic Strategy hub to learn more!
