Sea-Tac one of the busiest U.S. airports

33 percent increase in passenger volumes in last five years

Passenger volumes at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport hit a record with more than 49 million passengers traveling through the airport in 2018.

Total passenger volumes in 2018 saw a 6 percent increase compared to the previous year.

A similar year-over-year comparison showed a 2.6 percent increase between 2016-2017.

Since 2014, passenger volumes through the airport have grown by more than 12 million, a 33 percent increase.

A comparison of airports across the U.S. highlights the sharp increase in passenger travel at Sea-Tac Airport.

Passenger boardings at Sea-Tac grew 47 percent between 2010 and 2017, more than any other large airport in the country.

Sea-Tac Airport ranks among the top 10 busiest airports in the U.S. for passenger boardings.
