Wins VISION 2050 Award

Six cities and the South King Housing and Homelessness Partners have won a VISION 2050 Award from the Puget Sound Regional Council for the South King County Subregional Housing Action Framework.
The awards recognize innovative projects and programs that help ensure a sustainable future as the region grows.
The Subregional Housing Action Framework is a joint project of six cities – Auburn, Burien, Federal Way, Kent, Renton, and Tukwila – to develop a common housing planning framework for the South King County subregion.
“The South King County Subregional Housing Action Framework is an outstanding example of how working together across jurisdictional lines can result in effective and sustainable solutions for people in the region,” said Josh Brown, Executive Director of PSRC. “The result of this work is ongoing, coordinated planning to increase the supply and affordability of housing.”
The award was presented at the South King Housing and Homelessness Partners board meeting on June 17, 2022.
