Swift, Seaway and the Highway 99 Tunnel

Transportation project briefings

Briefings on major transportation projects' progress will be the feature of the Transportation Policy Board meeting on April 11, 2019.

Community Transit debuted its new 12-mile Swift Green Line and Seaway Transit Center in late March. The bus rapid transit line will connect Boeing's Everett Factory and new Seaway Transit Center, the new commercial terminal at Paine Field, Mill Creek and Canyon Park in Bothell. Riders can to connect to the Swift Blue Line at Highway 99. The new Seaway Transit Center at Boeing’s Everett Factory is the northern terminus of the Swift Green Line and offers connections to Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro Transit, and Sound Transit buses, as well as for private shuttles.

The board will also hear a report on the results of the Alaskan Way Viaduct closure, an update on the new Highway 99 Tunnel and the next steps for the removal of the viaduct and other downtown construction impacts. WSDOT, King County and City of Seattle have been working together closely to mitigate the impacts of all the changes.

See the full agenda or watch the meeting live at 10 am on Thursday, April 11.
