Take the UW's COVID-19 Mobility Survey

Help the region plan for the future of transportation

The University of Washington is inviting people to take a survey on how their activities and mobility patterns have changed as a result of COVID-19.

The pandemic has abruptly changed travel habits of most people in the region. Telecommuting, online shopping, virtual socializing, and remote learning are suddenly much more widespread. People are taking fewer trips and riding transit less. More people are taking walks near home for recreation.

Researchers are interested in getting a better understanding of these changes.  Results from the survey will provide important information on how to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution after the threat of COVID-19 is gone. Survey findings will be added to other data and analysis that will help shape planning activities like the update of the Regional Transportation Plan.

The survey takes about 15 minutes or less, depending on employment status. All information will be kept private and confidential.
