Transit Integration Report

Briefing at next Transportation Policy Board

The 2019 Transit Integration Report will be the primary topic of the upcoming Transportation Policy Board meeting on November 14.

Highlights of the report include:

  • Major coordination underway of bus systems with the delivery of new light rail service north, south and east within the next five years.  New light rail service is expected to start each year from 2021 to 2024.
  • Collaboration to enhance access to ORCA cards for customers with low-incomes and youth and make paying for transit easier for everyone.
  • Efforts to enhance performance of the region’s transit system as demand grows.

The board will also hear a report on PSRC’s Transit, Travel Demand Management, and Special Needs Transportation Work Program and make a recommendation on the Regional Transportation Plan status of the SR 509 Extension Phase 1 submitted by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
