Hear from the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians next week

Kiana Lodge, Suquamish
Tribal Economic Development will be the primary topic of the Central Puget Sound Economic Development District's meeting on May 1.
Suquamish Tribe Chairman Leonard Forsman will lead the conversation. He will be joined by Amber Schulz-Oliver, Executive Director of the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians' Economic Development Corporation, and Melvin Sheldon, Jr., Councilmember of The Tulalip Tribes.
Chairman Forsman is the President of the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, a non-profit corporation that represents 57 Tribes throughout the Northwest and Alaska. The Economic Development Corporation is a subsidiary that provides financial and technical assistance for community and economic development.
The board will also hear about an effort to expand broadband access by two public sector agencies, NoaNet and Kitsap Public Utility District.
