Transportation Policy Board to get status report

City of Redmond
Work to develop VISION 2050 has made significant progress in the past few months. Ranging from a public opinion survey to research papers on topics like housing, the environment, transit-oriented development and centers, climate change and equity, the region’s vision for the future is beginning to take shape.
The Transportation Policy Board will discuss the Regional Growth Strategy alternatives, ongoing work to improve equity analyses, the plans for updating the transportation elements of VISION 2050, and future work leading towards the 2022 update to the Regional Transportation Plan.
The Draft Supplemental EIS is scheduled to be released by March and will undergo a 30 day public comment period.
The board will also discuss the Regional Aviation Baseline Study the Executive Board is overseeing. PSRC received $1.6 million from the FAA in September to conduct this work, which will provide a clear picture of the aviation activities and needs in the region, build on recent airport master planning efforts, and set the stage for future planning efforts.
