Welcome, Nancy Buonanno Grennan!

PSRC’s new Deputy Executive Director

Nancy Buonanno Grennan has joined PSRC as the agency’s new Deputy Executive Director, overseeing administration, human resources, legal affairs, information technology, and office and facilities management.

“I’m thrilled to have Nancy on board at PSRC. With her leadership and experience, I know we will be well positioned to continue to accomplish the regional planning, data and transportation funding work that is essential to the region’s success,” said Josh Brown, PSRC’s Executive Director.

Ms. Buonanno Grennan previously served as Kitsap County’s human resources director and as Kitsap’s County Administrator, where she oversaw finance, human resource, IT, and legal affairs.  She also served as King County’s Director of Human Resources, leading an organization of 13,000 people.  She was on the leadership team that established King County’s Equity and Social Justice human resources plan, was a founding member of Metro Transit’s Labor-Management Partnership on Equity and Inclusion, improved employee development and training programs, and designed new practices to attract and retain a diverse workforce.

Prior to beginning her 20+ year career in public service, Nancy was an attorney at Perkins Coie.  She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and received a law degree from the University of Washington with high honors.

PSRC’s immediate past Deputy Executive Director Mark Gulbranson is retiring at the end of this year after a long and distinguished career.
