Planning for a sustainable region

Bremerton
Join us on November 8 to learn how the region is planning for growth.
Where We’re Growing: Planning Together for a Sustainable Region will focus on state and regional planning efforts and how we can move forward as a region to create and sustain thriving and equitable places.
Keynote speakers will be Dave Somers, Snohomish County Executive and PSRC President, and Josh Brown, PSRC Executive Director.
A panel representing various perspectives will weigh in on where the region is headed and the opportunities and challenges associated with growth.
Small group sessions include: Sustainability Planning for a Changing Environment, The Local Impacts of Regional Transportation Investments, Beyond Affordability: Segregation and Housing Choice, and Changing Approaches for Changing Demographics.
Participants can also go on a 60-minute walking tour hosted by Alliance for Pioneer Square, highlighting how the district balances historic buildings and elements of the neighborhood with new development to serve a growing number of residents and jobs.
The event will be on November 8, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., at PSRC. Cost is $10, which includes lunch. Register online at https://planning-together-for-a-sustainable-region.eventbrite.com.
