Toolbox peer networking event on Feb 21

Puyallup Public Library
PSRC is hosting an extended session on Siting Facilities for Whole Communities on Thursday, February 21, 12-3 p.m., in the PSRC Boardroom.
As the region plans for 2050, public facilities and utilities will need to expand to provide services to an additional 1.8 million people.
With limited developable land remaining in urban areas, how can cities, counties, and special service districts work together to build and maintain facilities, such as schools and libraries, that are efficient, reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective, and also serve as focal points for local communities?
This work session will take a “deep dive” into this complex topic, with a three-hour session that includes an overview of issues and opportunities related to siting schools, expanding utilities, and designing parks and open spaces in ways that enhance communities.
Small-group breakout discussions will focus on evaluating facility siting in existing regional policy.
Please RSVP online if you are planning to attend. We have limited space and cannot guarantee attendance without an RSVP.
Bring your lunch! Water will be provided.
