This map displays transportation projects from the 2021-2024 Draft Regional TIP. Projects like bus replacements are not viewable on a map. A complete list of projects is available in Appendix A of the Regional TIP.
Instructions:
Projects are shown in red. Click on any part of a project line for more information. When a project is selected it will turn dark red and the project title, sponsoring agency, description, and total project cost will appear on the right. Financial details will appear below the map.

Legend
Use the legend to identify the information displayed on the map.
Zoom
Zoom closer to a project by using the mouse wheel or the plus and minus icons located in the left hand corner of the map. To return to the original view, click on the home button.

You can toggle between open streets view and satellite view by hitting the button between the plus and minus icons and home button.
Search
You can search by projects by name or sponsor by using the drop down menu.

Below is a brief description of each data layer in the TIP web map.
Regional Growth Centers
This layer displays the designated Regional Growth Centers. Regional Growth Centers are identified for housing and employment growth.
Urban Growth Area
This layer displays the Urban Growth Area. Urban Growth Areas have higher density urban development.
Manufacturing Industrial Centers
This layer displays the designated regional Manufacturing and Industrial Centers. Manufacturing and Industrial Centers are areas of intensive manufacturing and/or industrial activity and are identified as locations for increased employment.
Federal Urban Area
This layer displays the federally designated urban boundary
Freight Routes
This layer shows all T1 and T2 freight routes. These are the most frequently used routes by freight traffic.
Concentrations of Poverty
This layer displays concentrations of poverty at the census tract level. Tracts were assigned a poverty classification if they had greater than the regional average of residents living at or below the US Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines, 10.1 percent. Minority Population
This layer displays areas of high concentration of minority populations at the census block level. Blocks were classified as a minority block if the minority portion of the population exceeds the regional rate of 31.2 percent. For more information see Appendix F of the 2017-2020 TIP located here.
Seniors Age 65+
This layer displays senior populations as a percent of total population in each census tract. Senior population is defined as 65 years of age and older.
Disabled Population
This layer displays disabled populations as a percent of total population in each census tract.
Opportunity Index
This layer is a composite measure of five key elements of neighborhood opportunity at the census tract level: Education, Economic Health, Housing and Neighborhood Quality, Mobility and Transportation, and Health and Environment. More information on the opportunity index can be found here.
Military Bases
This layer displays the military bases in the central Puget Sound Region.
Regional Growth Centers
