PSRC is working to update the Regional Economic Strategy.
The Regional Economic Strategy is a planning document that identifies and prioritizes economic development opportunities in the central Puget Sound region. It includes a self-assessment of the region’s economy and a set of strategies to make progress over the next five years on the challenges and opportunities identified. Development of the strategy is overseen and adopted by the region’s Economic Development District Board.
The completed strategy will help guide collaboration around regional economic development issues over the next five years and enables local jurisdictions and eligible organizations access to funding through U.S. Economic Development Administration programs.
PSRC has developed an Online Engagement Hub to gather information over the summer from stakeholders and the public to answer two key questions:
- What are the big economic challenges and opportunities that the region faces?
- What efforts are needed to improve these conditions?
Please take a few minutes to visit the Online Engagement Hub and provide input for the Regional Economic Strategy update.
