The Trust for Public Land and the US Forest service are accepting applications for the FY2026 Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program.
The Community Forest Program (CFP) offers a valuable opportunity for communities to conserve forestland that supports recreation, protects water and wildlife resources and provides educational and economic benefits. It supports the implementation of the Regional Open Space Plan by providing an important funding source.
To apply, projects must involve full fee title acquisitions, must be 75% forested, minimum of five acres and applicants must be local governments, tribal governments and qualified nonprofits.
The Trust for Public Land and the US Forest Service are accepting applications through October 13, 2026.
