LYNNWOOD – The City of Lynnwood and One Trent has won a VISION 2050 Award from the Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) for the Ember Apartments. The project showcases the synergy between urban development and municipal planning, tailored to fit the Lynnwood City Center Subarea Plan and debuting alongside the new Sound Transit Light Rail Station, this project redefines contemporary living in Lynnwood with transit-oriented development.
The VISION 2050 Awards celebrate progress to enhance the region’s communities and natural environment while advancing equity for all. The awards recognize innovative work in the region to create a better future for the central Puget Sound.
Ember Apartments is a landmark along the developing City Center Promenade and Main Street of Lynnwood. It expands on the City of Lynnwood’s supply and range of housing stock to include more safe housing choices that are healthy, accessible, and affordable inside the Regional Growth Center. Of the 361 units, 73 are income restricted through the MFTE program.
The award will be presented at the Lynnwood City Council meeting on September 9.
VISION 2050 is the region’s plan for growth. By 2050, the region's population will reach 5.8 million people.
