Station House wins a VISION 2050 Award

Schemata Workshop, Community Roots Housing and Sound Transit have won a VISION 2050 Award from the Puget Sound Regional Council for Station House. The awards recognize innovative projects and programs that help ensure a sustainable future as the region grows.

Station House is a housing development for 110 low to moderate income families on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The building is located close to transit, including the light rail and streetcar lines, with ample opportunities to walk and bike. The development also features a rooftop garden, community rooms, and a front plaza, which is now home to the farmer’s market.

“Station House is an equitable Transit-Oriented Development that leveraged public investment for greater community benefit,” said Josh Brown, Executive Director of PSRC. “Station House is an outstanding example of how the region can create affordable, flexible housing in the heart of the region’s urban core.”
