Attendees learned about COVID-19 hub, data equity, and more
PSRC worked Census Bureau to host two online workshops last month, covering a wide range of useful Census data products and resources for supporting local planning work.
The second workshop covered Census Bureau Equity Resources and PSRC Community Profiles. Presentations from the Census Bureau [PDF/4.6MB] and PSRC [PDF/332KB], as well as a and webinar video from the workshop are now available.
Attendees learned about the new COVID-19 hub as well as other Census data equity tools such as My Community Explorer, the Opportunity Atlas, and the new PSRC Community Profiles Dashboard.
Information was also shared on the differences in how the Census Bureau approached data collection for the 2020 ACS 5 Year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The workshop also covered the replacement of American Fact Finder with the new data.Census.gov data portal and the updated Simple Search feature. Presenters offered tips on navigating advanced searches such as accessing data profiles, poverty and income, language data, and race/ethnicity.
