This webinar presented transportation safety efforts currently underway across the central Puget Sound region. Roadway deaths have sharply increased since 2010, especially among pedestrians and cyclists. In 2023, PSRC received two Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants totaling $7.7 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to support the development of a regional safety action plan and to provide technical assistance to nearly 20 communities in the region for creating local safety plans. PSRC's General Assembly adopted the Regional Safety Action Plan in May 2025, and safety work is underway in numerous jurisdictions across the central Puget Sound region. This webinar shares updates about this work, lessons learned, and best practices from PSRC staff and local jurisdictions at our next TOOLBOX session.
