PSRC Seeking Public Comment on Two Transit Projects

SEATTLE - The Puget Sound Regional Council is encouraging people to comment on two projects new to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program that are recommended to receive a total of $2,451,290 in PSRC’s Federal Transit Administration funds. 

The public comment period will run from June 29 through July 23, 2026. PSRC’s Executive Board is scheduled to approve these projects on July 23, 2026.

King County Metro is recommended to receive $180,000 for the “Water Taxi Vessel and Barge Mid-Life Maintenance” project, to fund mid-life maintenance and repair work for vessels and barges.  

Pierce Transit is recommended to receive $2,271,290 for the “ADA Assessment Facility” project to establish a permanent ADA Paratransit Eligibility Assessment Center.  

The funding is available due to the annual adjustment of PSRC’s 2026 Federal Transit Administration funds. Learn more about these projects and funding action by reviewing the meeting agenda packet for PSRC’s Transportation Policy Board meeting on July 9. 

This public notice will satisfy the FTA's Program of Projects requirements.
