An inclusive effort to make SR 99 safer through Lynwood, Edmonds and Everett has been recognized with a VISION 2050 Award.
The SR 99 Pre-Design Study used a Complete Streets and Safe Systems Approach to make investments in access to high-capacity transit, increase transit facilities, active transportation facilities and new and improved crossings.
The planning process was collaborative and open, including 10 agency partners, 19 focus groups, tabling at 5 fairs and festivals, and online open houses and surveys which were translated into 11 languages with 720 survey respondents.
