An effort to re-home a supportive housing project that fell through in one city to another has been recognized with a VISION 2050 Award.
The relocation of Plymouth Housing’s supportive housing project from Kenmore to Redmond meant 100 permanent supportive housing units for individuals earning less than 30% of the area median income (about $28,800 annually) could move forward.
Residents in the new six story building will have on-site services to help maintain their long-term stability.
A big thanks to Redmond City Council for voting to transfer public property to Plymouth Housing, preserving financing and moving the project forward after it could not be built in a neighboring city.
