About $1.5 billion in funding will be available through the Environmental Protection Agency's Brownfields Program over the next 5 years thanks to the new Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The EPA Brownfields Program delivers technical assistance to communities, states, tribes and other communities to assess and safely clean up contaminated lands.
The program aims to transform brownfields in both small and large communities in rural and urban settings while keeping neighborhoods sustainable, healthy, and representative of their residents.
The EPA is holding two virtual listening sessions to discuss how to bring the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding into EPA’s Brownfield Programs.
- Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup Grant Program Listening Session on March 10, 2022; 12:00-2:00 PM (ET)
- Revolving Loan Fund Grant Program Listening Session on March 11, 2022; 12:00-2:00 PM (ET)
The goal is to maximize the benefits of this historic investment in underserved communities.
Information on upcoming grant opportunities is available on EPA’s Brownfields Funding webpage. EPA Region 10 staff are available to provide assistance and additional information.
