New Passport to 2044 webinar covers economic development

PSRC is excited to host the next installment in the Passport to 2044 series on September 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. via Zoom.

This third installment of the Passport series centers on economic development and features presentations from PSRC and Pierce County:

  • Jason Thibedeau, Program Manager for Economic Development at PSRC, will share information about PSRC’s Economic Development Element Guide.
  • Robert Allen, Senior Economic Development Specialist at Pierce County, will present how his team is working to update their economic element and share some lessons learned from previous work.
  • Craig Hellman, Director of PSRC’s Data department, will share insights into the regional economy including current job trends, work locations and other aspects of the economy in the central Puget Sound region.

PSRC will also share tools and resources planners can use to update their comprehensive plan to align with VISION 2050’s policy framework.

Future Passport webinar topics will include transportation, housing, equity and transit-oriented development (TOD).
