This month's peer networking lunch will feature a new program sponsored by Bellevue, Microsoft, and UW to reduce traffic deaths.
The new collaboration is called Video Analytics Towards Vision Zero and it will tap new technologies to analyze traffic camera video footage available in many cities, and use near-miss collisions to predict where future crashes are likely to occur with the goal of informing traffic engineers to take corrective action to prevent them.
Please join us for a discussion of the Video Analytics Towards Vision Zero crowdsourcing effort. This session will include a presentation from project leads at the City of Bellevue as well as a demonstration of the video analytics technology.
